Last week, eTaildTail had a great interview with consumer shopping engine UnderBid.com as part of our 2009 ongoing series called: Insider Edition: The Experts' Guide to Channel Marketing, the weeks before that we had great conversations with Gifts.com, Pront.com and Smarter.com.
eTaildTail knows that using consumer shopping engines ("CSE"s) can help online retailers increase sales at a price they can afford, although many ecommerce merchants still are hesitant to work with CSEs for a myriad of reasons.
The most notable three reasons are:
- lack of familiarity with a particular marketing channel
- lack of evidence that a marketing channel increases sales cost effectively, and
- difficulty of working with a marketing channel

Founded in 2006 by Three Legged Toad to showcase its client's products data feed and drive free traffic to clients' Webstore fronts as value added to their data feed management contract.

Merchants are not getting their monies worth from Queen of Cheap. Rumor has it that their traffic is crap that doesn't convert. They're promoting so they can make a buck from the "monthly" fee. It's all about "them", not all about their merchants, or "results."
They need to do the "monthly flat rate" pricing as paying for actual performance will not provide QofC with the income they need to survive. They know there is no money for them in the performance model through their company because they DO NOT DELIVER results. Traffic is easy to get. BUT REAL traffic that converts is MUCH more difficult. Network of blogs etc. PLEASE!
You are wasting money if you use queenofcheap.
Merchants - save your money and find a co. that offers results.
